You have read what your husbands, your husband’s classmates, and the ladies of our fallen brothers have written in the three volumes of “Both Sides of the Wall,” and you have surely said to yourselves, “But I, too, have a story!” Now is your chance to bring that story to your sisters, the class, and the world.
The West Point Class of 1968 is soliciting articles for another book in the Class of 1968’s autobiography series. In this latest endeavor, tentatively titled Another Side of the Wall, we are asking that all the articles be written only by the spouses, and widows of classmates. This latest book should provide a look at the class from the distaff side, with all the perspectives coming from the ladies who have been the wind beneath our collective wings. This book will be a look from another side of the wall. From dating a cadet or officer, living the military life, sending a spouse or child off to war, dealing with tragedy, dealing with laughter, or becoming a civilian again, the distaff side of the class now has a chance to be heard and felt and experienced.
Photographs and documents should be included where appropriate or needed. There is no limit to the number of articles an individual may submit.
We would ask that articles to be considered for inclusion in this volume follow the guidelines in the separate document on this webpage. They should be submitted in PDF, plain text (.txt) or MS WORD (.doc or .docx) format to Tony Ambrose (aambrose1968@gmail.com)or Andy Shaffer (oldgrad68@swbell.net) via email. All submissions must be received no later than December 31, 2021 with the book being available at our 55th Reunion.
